Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a shallow bowl, mix flour and pepper. Dredge the chicken in the mixture, shaking off excess. Save the remaining flour mixture.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken on both sides. Transfer to an ungreased 9-inch square baking dish.
