These Coconut Bonbons are simple to make and are perfect for holiday gifting or enjoying with family.

With just a few ingredients, you get a delightful combination of sweet coconut and smooth chocolate, making them a perfect treat for Christmas. Whether you're making them for yourself or to share, these little bites of joy are sure to please.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 pound confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
  • 9 squares semisweet chocolate (1-ounce)
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, mix butter, confectioners' sugar, and sweetened condensed milk together.
  2. Stir in the flaked coconut.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and refrigerate for about 1 hour until set.
  4. Melt the chocolate and shortening over a double boiler, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  5. Once melted, remove from heat and stir to ensure the shortening is fully incorporated.
  6. Using toothpicks, dip each coconut ball into the melted chocolate, then place on wax paper to dry.
