Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (15 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 packages of cream cheese, softened (8 ounces each)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup 2% milk
  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked and drained)
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley, minced and crushed red pepper flakes (Optional)
Step-by-Step Procedure
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink; drain excess fat. Stir in the tomato sauce, onion, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt until combined.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a greased 13×9-inch baking dish, layer one-third of the meat sauce, 4 lasagna noodles, and one-third of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat the layers twice more.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly.
  5. Uncover the dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Allow the lasagna to rest for 15 minutes before cutting into servings. Garnish with minced parsley and crushed red pepper flakes, if desired.
